Get some analog dirt and warmth - it's a major part of the sound that you miss if you just stay ITB.Īn oldie but goodie. So I recommend a reamp box and use some analog processing on them. These were mono synths, and everyone used to run them through chorus boxes. And of course it loads all the thousands of Yamaha presets on the net. Just no noise (and I can add noise in the analog domain if I want that).įM Heaven comes loaded with the TX81Z factory presets - I have no regrets. When the original algorithmn is implemented correctly, it has all of the dirt and aliasing of the originals - even at 96kHz 24 bits. Like everyone here, I assumed it was the D/A conversion. My experience with Native FM7 is that it was too smooth sounding - none of the dirt and aliasing that was part of the sound. I have sold them all, because the hardware is old and unreliable and noisy. I was into Yamaha FM stuff since the 80's when it came out, and eventually owned several modules including TX81Z and TX7s. ![]() Nobody has mentioned FM Heaven by Loftsoft yet?!!! ![]()
